“In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.”
-Baba Dioum, Coordinator General for the Conference of West and Central African Ministers of Agriculture
Who we are
Student-led and wildlife-focused, we aim to see the outdoors as an opportunity for people to learn how and why to protect it.
We are on a mission to empower others through means of fostering an environment of like-minded people, and allowing them to grow their careers by making connections and educating themselves on how to be better interpreters for the importance of our environments, to educate others.
What is an interpreter? Under the National Association for Interpretation definition; "If you help visitors learn about a place that’s important to you, you’re an interpreter!”
Lead by our diverse executive team, we emphasize that anyone from all walks of life can learn and share about how important the wildlife we live next to is, and through sharing, help contribute to being friendlier to the animals that we coexist with, and the ecological systems that we are a part of.
"We don't own the planet Earth, we belong to it. And we must share it with our wildlife"
-Steve Irwin,
Wildlife Educator & Conservationist
Our Story
in September 2025…
Executive team members Megan, Cameron, & Mel met at Capilano University as classmates in course ENSO 100: Catalysts to Change.
Sharing their passions for the conservation of wildlife and nature, and empowering voices to be interpreters for wildlife, an immediate sense of enthusiasm and drive was established. They decided to start a club centred around the motive to protect the wildlife they grew up around.
A clear vision was set for the three of them - they wanted to re-establish the world we once had:
a world where both humans and animals can co-exist, in a manner that allows both sides to find the space, time, and freedom to enjoy our lands and oceans.
With the three of them on the same page, and with the help of the members of the Wildlife Conservation & Ecology Society, an organization with a driving force to save the world through wildlife, was created, and along with that - a mission set:
to re-establish an environment where both humans and wildlife can find the space, time and freedom to enjoy our lands and oceans in a manner that satisfies both needs through ecology-focused education, land management, and data collection.
Our story is brief - it’s only just begun, and we’re still writing in this chapter of our lives, and this organization.
Together, and with your help, we are confident that our mission is possible within our lifetimes,
and in the changing world we have today,
We need change now - and later is too late.
Are you ready?
Let’s do this together - it doesn’t matter what you do in life, where you’re going, or what you want to do;
If you can move your thumbs and scroll on this page,
You can be part of our story - and be a leader in your lives for wildlife.
